Man of the Match: Newport County (Home)

Macclesfield Town picked up a point on Easter Monday following a 0-0 stalemate with Newport County at the Moss Rose. The hosts did create chances to pick up the win, however these opportunities weren’t taken and the Silkmen had to settle for a share of the spoils. Sol Campbell’s side still have plenty to play for as the Moss Rose Club continues to battle for League 2 survival, however in our Bank Holiday fixture against the Exiles, who was your star man on the day?

Update following Northampton Town (Away)

Macclesfield Town fell to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Northampton Town on Friday. Harry Smith had cancelled out the Cobbler’s opener, yet further strikes from the home side in the second half meant that the Silkmen returned to Cheshire empty handed. Despite our loss in Northamptonshire, there was only one man that the Star Lane End members were voting for. An honourable mention was given to Kieran O’Hara for pulling off a number of good saves, however for his goal on the day and for work hard for the cause, the Man of the Match for this game goes to Harry Smith. Well done Harry and lets hope you can add to your goal scoring tally in these next two vital games!
