The Silkmen had to settle for a share of the spoils against high flying Colchester United on Saturday as Scott Wilson’s first half strike was cancelled out early in the second half following a U’s penalty that was converted by Frank Nouble. Macc showed signs that they were more than a match against their promotion chasing opposition, however who was your stand out performer for our beloved blues?

Update following Crewe Alexandra (Home)
It was an ‘El Cheshico’ classic last week as the Silkmen grabbed a 97th minute equaliser thanks to Reece Cole, minutes after the Railwayman scored a late goal and looked on course to break Macc hearts. For those that were there at the game, it is certainly an encounter that will live long in the memory! When we asked the Star Lane End members to pick out their stand out Silkmen performer on the day, there were votes for goalscorers Scott Wilson and Reece Cole, and there was even a cheeky vote for Crewe goalkeeper Ben Garrett for his contribution that afternoon. However it was Macc keeper Kieran O’Hara who picked up the majority of votes after producing a number of brilliant saves between the Silkmen sticks! Well done Kieran and keep up the good work!
