Ryan Cawley provides his ratings following Saturday’s 2-1 win against Oldham Athletic:
O’Hara – 7 – Unlucky not to save the penalty, kicking was suspect.
Hodgkiss – 7 – Much improved performance from Jared today, better with a couple of games under him.
Cameron – 7.5 – Got caught in possession a couple of times but mainly solid as per.
Kellegher – 7 – Forming a great partnership with Nathan. All the defence threw their body’s on the line against a good Oldham attack.
Welch-Hayes – 7 – Unlucky to concede a penalty from a ball that was smashed at him from 2 yards away. Didn’t let it effect his performance. A couple of good interceptions. Still prefer Fitz.
Maycock – 6 – The weak link.
Rose – 6.5 – Struggled in midfield with Callum against a physical Oldham side. Wasn’t as dominated but worked hard.
Evans – 6 – Looked rusty upon his return and was played out of position.
Marsh – 7.5 – A constant threat.
Wilson – 7 – Took his goal well, was lightweight most of the game. Scott is the most natural finisher at the club (other than Andy Cole).

Smith – 9 – MOM – Caught the Latics keeper napping with an early shot to take Macc in undeservingly level. Great all round play and lead the line well.
Substitutes
Cole – N/A – Hard to rate, a useful couple of touches.
Management
Campbell – 7.5 – Stuck to his guns at half-time and whatever was said certainly fired the team up for a much improved second half. We’ve caught the pack and a win v Cheltenham next week takes us above them…everyone loves a six pointer!!
A.Cole – At the club two days a week, two strikers scored in the game.
Whitaker – Is he still injured or now a full time assistant? Danny4CM!
In other news….
Good to see he club bringing back the half-time kid’s penalties. Even Roary had a go….
