The Silkmen suffered late heartbreak up in Cumbria on Saturday as a late Carlisle United winner ensured the Moss Rose club finished their final match of 2018 without the points that they were desperate to claim. The loyal fan base that made the journey witnessed a side, blighted by injuries and suspensions, put in a valiant display against the in-form Cumbrians, who are hovering around the League Two play-offs. So for those Silkmen fans who travelled up to Brunton Park, who was your star performer on the day?

Update following Notts County (Away)
The Silkmen claimed a vital three points at Meadow Lane on Boxing Day, thanks to a Scott Wilson brace, to take our beloved blues off the foot of the League Two table. It was a memorable late Christmas present for the Moss Rose supporters, who saw Sol Campbell’s side fighting tooth and nail to defeat The Magpies of Notts County, who were at that point just two points ahead of us in the table. There were many Silkmen players fighting our cause that day, and you can tell this by your votes, as six players were nominated, with honourable mentions to Ben Stephens, Kieran O’Hara, James Pearson and Nathan Cameron. Michael Rose was the runner up, who was seen to be orchestrating our play, yet there were an overriding opinion by many of you that there was only one person it could be, our match winning hero Scott Wilson. Well done Scott and keep the goals coming!
