A healthy number of predictions were logged for our first game back in the EFL Cup. Those who stayed away from the Moss missed out on an enjoyable game, which looked like it was in the bag until two late Blackpool goals. Fortunately we maintained our composure to win on penalties and take two points – the first time a Macc side has taken two points in a game since the early 1980s.

Jonathan Barton was the only player to match Macc’s two point tally on Tuesday, and he now finds himself in the top 10. Joe Koller still leads the way, with eight points, although all those at the top end of the table got themselves a point.
