Macclesfield’s Town community and charitable arm, the Community Sports Trust (CST) operates over a number of regions, including Manchester, Stockport and Cheshire East.
In case you don’t know much about the CST, courtesy of their Facebook Page, here is their Biography about what they have to offer:
Macclesfield Town FC – Community Sports Trust (CST) is a thriving multi purpose organisation. With a dedicated team of full time employees. Previousley know as “Football In The Community”. The scheme has been in operation for over 10 years and has recently achived charitable status and is subsequently known as “The Community Sports Trust”.
The CST is now fully integrated into the fabric of Macclesfield Town F.C. and works from it’s own dedicated office on the London Road side of the ground. As a Football League Trust partner the scheme has a big part to play in getting children interested in Football, whilst also delivering other related activities. One of the schemes aims is to create a player pathway from schools to full time professional player.
The scheme also aim to effect the local community through delivering suitable activities in certain key areas: Health, Education, Participation and Social Inclusion.
The scheme also runs: Soccer Camps, Super Saturday Soccer, Birthday Parties, In & After Schools Coaching Sessions, Street Soccer, Healthy Eating training, Dance & Cheerleading and much more…..
Our aim is to provide a proven way to achieve challenging goals using football as a way to help score real success in the local community, education and social inclusion programmes.
Our scheme is now well established, with a dedicated team working closer with our partners in the following priority areas:
– Increasing the amount of people, particularly children, playing sport.
– Encourage people, especially children, to lead healthier lifestyles.
– Use sport as a vehicle to re-engage children in learning.
– Create and develop programmes to reduce youth offending.
– Operate an inclusive approach to work.
– Establish Macclesfield Town FC and its facilities as a community resource.
– Deliver a range of training programmes to produce qualified sports coaches creating employment and voluntary opportunities.
