Player profiles: Malachi Napa

Malachi Napa was born on the 26th May 1999 in London and grew up in North Woolwich.

The midfielder played youth football with Reading and Oxford United’s academy before signing his first professional contract with The U’s in May 2017.

Napa would head to Hampton and Richmond Borough F.C. and would make 12 appearances in the league, scoring 2 goals in 12 appearances.

After returning to Oxford United, he would make his senior appearance for the club, a 65th minute substitute appearance in a Checkatrade Trophy win over Kent side Gillingham, in which Malachi provided the assist for Alex Mowatt to score an injury-time winner.

His League debut was a substitute appearance against Milton Keynes Dons on the 1st Jabuary 2018 and his first start was in a televised match at Portsmouth in March 2018, in which the Oxfordshire side lost 3-0.
