Silkmen sign striker Harry Smith

Macclesfield Town have bolstered their striking options today with the arrival of former Millwall forward Harry Smith, signing a one year deal with the club.

The striker, aged 23, arrived at The Den in August 2016, following a successful spell with non-league side Folkestone Invicta, where he scored 13 goals in 19 appearances during his time at the club. He made his debut for Milwall in November of that year in a Football League Trophy fixture away at Luton Town where Millwall ran away 3-1 winners with Smith scoring two goals in the process.

Other memorable moments during his time at the South East London side would include a hat-trick in an FA Cup tie with The Iron of Braintree, however first team opportunities were limited and he made the switch to League 2 side Swindon Town in July 2017.

During his time with the Wiltshire club, he made 19 appearances in all competitions and netted on 3 occasions, scoring against Cambridge United, Wycombe Wanderers and Dartford.

A very warm welcome to the Moss Rose Harry!
