Champions: Ryan Lloyd

In the latest instalment of our tribute to The Silkmen’s title winning heroes, we take a look at another fans favourite – the brilliant Ryan Lloyd.

Ryan joined the club last summer from Chester and it wasn’t long before he found the back of the net at the Moss Rose as he helped Sir John’s side complete an inspiring 3 – 0 victory over Crewe Alexandra during pre-season.

The midfielder quickly endeared himself to the Moss Rose faithful not just with his performances on the pitch, but also with his eagerness to chat with the fans once the full time whistle had blown.

Ryan literally gave everything for the cause – week in, week out and nobody deserves a title medal more than him.

Visionary and creative, Ryan work-rate also shine through as Macc gradually propelled themselves up the National League table.

In addition to this, Ryan also weighed in with some crucial goals which helped the team secure the title.

Who can forget the first minute strike against Aldershot back in September, the epic strike away at Hartlepool which spearheaded a dramatic comeback or the sublime header at Bromley for example.

However, its is the magnificent strike at Maidenhead United which will forever be remembered by the Silkmen faithful.

It was quite simply one of the best goals ever scored by a Macc player and it easily claimed the Goal of the Season Award at the recent presentation evening.
