A View From The West : Barrow (H)

Ryan Cawley is back with his ratings, after another epic victory at the Moss Rose yesterday –

Starting XI

Jalal 7.5 – Couldn’t do anything for the Barrow goal, good save to stop us falling two behind. Safe hands all game.

Hodgkiss 7 – Never looked under any really pressure, kept feeding Durrell all game

Lowe 8.5 (MOM) – Solid as a rock. What a signing big Keith has been for us!

Pilkington 7.5 – If George played against Peter Crouch, he would still win the header

Fitzpatrick 7.5 – He’s normally a 7 or an 8, but today he’s a 7.5. A few mazy runs from Mr Consistent

Durrell 7.5 – Always a threat and scored the important third

Whitaker 8 – Pushed Keith for MOM for me, calm under pressure with the penalty and started all our attacks. Leads the way and pivotal to the team.

Danny Whitaker : Leads the way and pivotal to the team (Pic courtesy of Peter Hilton).

Whitehead 7 – Quieter game from Danny but lots of running

Hancox 7.5 – Scored with a great finish and worked tirelessly throughout

Wilson 7 – Put himself about, worked hard but the ball just wouldn’t drop for him

Blissett  6.5 – Struggled today but never gave up.

Richards N/A – Return of the Courtney, all I remember was one touch where he gave it back to the opposition

Burgess N/A – Wore gloves on a mild day.

Askey 9 – Only once change saw Marsh dropping down to the bench and Wilson back into the starting line up. Despite the Barrow goal we were in the ascendancy all game.

Good all round battling display – just ten games to go to make history.

Bills Ball Bag – Gave 2nd keeper Sam sound advise that a green bib going on a green goalkeeper shirt does not hide any green. Wise words William.
