A View From The West: Chester (A)

Following this afternoon’s 2 – 0 victory at Chester, here are Ryan Cawley’s player ratings from the match –

Jalal 7. Cool, calm and collected. On the rare occasion when he was called upon his handling was steady with saves at the ready.
Yates 7. Solid performance, better distribution today – especially when compared to Halls!
Lowe 8. Solid again from Mr Reliable
Kennedy 8 MOM. – Won everything, committed and fully deserved his first goal for the Silkmen

Kieran Kennedy 0 deserved his first goal for The Silkmen

Fitzpatrick 7. Standard performance from the 101 man

Durrell 8. Our main threat. It is not a coincidence we’ve won the last two with him back in the side

Whitaker 8. Along with Durrell, ran Kennedy close to MOM. Built the play up well, never stopped running.

Hancox 7.5 Glad to see Mitch back in the starting 11, full of energy, great tackles and got the important first goal.

Burgess 6. Not sure what he did other than the shot he smashed narrowly over the bar.

Toure 5. Not his best game, gave the ball away and got tangled in his own feet too many times

Marsh 7.5 – Held everything up and was always a threat. Hit the bar when he should have really scored though.

None of the substitutions had long enough to make an impact, Wilson could have done better with a couple of half chances though.

Askey 8. Brought Hancox back in for the impressive Lloyd.

Dominated the game and surprisingly made 3 subs together.

Overall a great away win against  a poor Chester side.

Bills Ball Bag – Quieter week ahead for Bill with Jalals handling improvements. Kicking from pass backs will be the focus over the coming days.
