Man Of the Match: Gateshead (A)

Most people struggled to find a Man of the Match on Saturday which is not altogether that surprising following our 3 – 0 reversal at the International Stadium.

Most people agreed that the majority of our attacking threat cam down the left hand side, and as such David Fitzpatrick and Gime Toure were always going to feature when assessing who to give the award to.

I went for Fitzpatrick as not only did he have a fairly solid game at the back, he also linked up well with Toure in attacking phases.

The people of the SLE have spoken however, and this week’s award goes to Gime who threatened the Gateshead defence for most of the afternoon with his mazy runs and impressive turn of speed.

Our congratulations go to Gime who picks up his first award of the season.

The current standings are as follows –

Keith Lowe 2

Elliott Durrell 1

Billy O’Brien 1

Gime Toure 1
