Askey Out To “Kerr-plunk” Fraser

As well as former Silkman Neill Byrne, they will be one other familiar name turning out for The Heed this Saturday in the shape of defender Fraser Kerr.

The Scotsman verbally agreed to join The Silkmen in the summer following an impressive pre-season, but pulled the plug on the deal at the last minute to head up to the North East instead.

Kerr has represented his country at all levels from under 16 right through to the under 21 side, and has previously turned out for the likes of Motherwell, Cowdenbeath and Stenhousemuir.

Askey will be well aware of both Fraser’s strength’s and weaknesses ahead of the trip, and will be eager to show the defender what he missed out on by snubbing Macc at the last minute.
