Week One: Fantasy League Update

Matt Hollinshead’s Leicester Silkmen side has set the early pace in The Star Lane End League table after accumulating an impressive 88 points during the first week of the Premier League season.

The score is made even more impressive when considering the fact that he had selected Gary Cahill whose shocker for Chelsea saw him post a -3 score.

Yet the remainder of Matt’s squad proved to be very solid and with Romelu Lukaku wracking up 26 points for his debut brace for Manchester United against West Ham, Cahill’s negative score was a mere inconvenience for Mr Hollinshead’s side.

Hot on the heels is Ronald Wilson’s Athletic Sosobad who posted a first week score of 83 with his 3-4-3 formation of Premier League stars.

There are three teams all tied on 77 points who are in joint position, with Sam Graves’ All Star XI absolutely destroying his Dad’s Klopps And Robbers side who could only accumulate 44 points.

At the bottom, Alex Oxford has the first wooden spoon of the season after his Macc Townies could only manage 34 points on the opening weekend, closely followed by Ryan Cawley’s Razza’s Mad Macc Men who are just five points ahead.

There is clearly a long way to go yet though, and it is still not too later to enter and join the five teams who will be making their debuts this weekend.
