Man Of The Match: Hartlepool United (H)

The Star Lane End Man of the Match for Tuesday’s match against Hartlepool United is midfielder Elliott Durrell.

Durrell proved to be a constant danger with his awesome turn of pace and dangerous crosses from the right, and so it was a fairly straight-forward decision for the fans – although David Fitzpatrick did run him close for some.

It was a sad sight to see Elliott stretchered off after 79 minutes with an ankle injury, but we hope that this has proved to be not too serious and that he is back terrorising opposition defences this Saturday!

Elliott now joins Keith Lowe on the leaderboard, with the player who receives the most awards during the season being presented with a trophy at the annual Player of the Year evening.
