Man Of The Match: Wrexham (A)

After each game we will be awarding one Macc player our Man of the Match award which will be decided by you on our Forum.

At the end of the season, we will present the player who has come out on top with an award at the annual Player of the Year ceremony.

There were numerous contenders yesterday, Danny Whitaker had a stormer in midfield, whilst Keith Pilkington looked like an absolute rock in defence.

Durrell also looked very likely, and Baba’s wonder goal obviously made him an obvious choice.

Yet, the player we went for is Mr Keith Lowe, who together with Pilkington was an absoute monster in the heart of our defence.

He won pretty much every header, and on top of this was positionally perfect all the way through the game.

Even when it seemed like Wrexham were throwing the kitchen sink at us, Lowe was there to help limit them to speculative long range efforts.

So well done Keith for chalking up a well deserved point on the SLE Player of the Year chart!
