Koby Arthur: Signing Or Not Signing – That Is The Question.

It is one of the worst kept secrets in football that Koby Arthur is on trial with the Silkmen, yet with the season just six days away, we ask will he be signing, or won’t he?

The Ghanian midfielder has certainly impressed over recent weeks, and the fact that Sir John has played him so regularly suggests that he is certain on our most wanted list.

The majority of fans want to see Koby sign on the dotted line, but after an influx of new players being brought in to the Moss Rose over the summer, is their now enough room in the squad to accommodate him?

Within the midfield ranks we already have seven players all signed up, so I guess we have to ask whether our budget will stretch to another?

Clearly it must do, as Sir John has said time and time again that he will not sign any player who is going to break the bank – but if this is the case then why Arthur has not been snapped up already?

The most likely reason is that we are currently trying to thrash out a deal with his agent of course, but then the question is how long do we give it before we say that we need to focus on the players we already have?

For me, Arthur is a quality player, and one which I would love to bring to the Moss if at all possible.

The former Birmingham, Lincoln and Cheltenham man clearly has kept the faith and believes that a deal is possible, and given that is the case I would not be at all surprised to see him sign on the dotted line over the coming days.

Most probably on Friday afternoon!
