Star Lane End Signs Up For Next 12 Months

When I set this website up, I didn’t really have any idea how long it would last – it started off as literally messing about on my computer one dreary Sunday afternoon.

This then developed in to purchasing the domain name and hosting package on a one month trial, essentially to see if the site was viable. The thinking behind this of course was that if people did not really respond to it, then I could take it down and continue playing Football Manager instead!

The cut off for the trial period is this weekend, and so I posted within SLE’s Facebook group last night asking for people to be brutally honest in their assessment of the site in order to help me to decide whether or not this is worth continuing.

The response I received was amazing, and very humbling. It is difficult to assess opinion on a site, even if you can monitor how much traffic comes to it – essentially people may read it but at the same time think that it is crap!

As a result, I have committed to this for the next 12 months and would like to thank everyone who took the time to comment yesterday – making the decision a no-brainer.

It is a given that I will try to make this site the best that it can be, but please remember that I do have a full time job which pays the bills and therefore I don’t have all day every day to spend on it (I genuinely wish I had!). I will give this as many hours as I can but there are sadly only so many in the day.

Following on from this, if you would like to contribute to the site, in any way shape or form, then please do contact me. Whether it be a regular feature, a one-off or even just a photo for a caption competition then it would genuinely be very much appreciated – as well as giving readers an element of variety instead of listening to me bleat on and on!

Thanks again for all your support and I hope that you continue to enjoy the site.
