Silkmen midfielder Kingley James has become the latest member of last season’s squad to depart the Moss Rose, signing a two year contract with…wait for it, yep you guessed it, Chester!
James follows in the footsteps of fellow desertees Andy Halls and John McCombe as he rejoins his old club.
Kingsley joined Macc 12 months ago from Halifax and despite putting in some solid performances at the start of his spell, quickly deteriorated in to a very average player as the season wore on. This could obviously be as a result of his straggly hair impeding his vision, but I for one won’t lose any sleep over this – despite the obviously worrying trend of last season’s squad seemingly running out of the Moss Rose doors!
Towards the end of last season, James had been linked with Conference Champions Lincoln, although I feel that League football would have been a step too far for the midfielder.
So, au reviour Kingsley – get ready for your batterings next season!
