Silkmen Snap Up Wilson

Macclesfield Town have finally dipped in to the transfer market, and have secured the services of former Eastleigh striker Scott Wilson on a one year contract.

The 24 year old has a name for himself as a pacy front man and has a reputation as a prolific goalscorer – something which will be music to the ears of the Moss Rose faithful following the departure of Chris Holroyd and Anthony Dudley over recent weeks.

Wilson started his career at Bristol City before signing for numerous non league sides based in the south where he developed his goal scoring prowess.

This prompted a move to Eastleigh, yet Scott was not given much of a chance to shine with The Spitfires and was released this summer.

SJA has acted quickly to secure the services of this much in demand striker and after a period of wondering whether we will have a team at all next season, it is encouraging that someone of Scott’s class has been one of the first to sign on the dotted line.

Welcome to the Moss Rose Scott!!
