Player Profiles: Scott Burgess

Scott was born on 12th August 1997 and came through the youth ranks at Bury.

The midfielder played in every match as the Shaker’s youngsters finished runners-up in the FA Lancashire Senior Cup back in 2014.

Following on from this, Scott was promoted to the senior side at Gigg Lane after loan spells at Stalybridge Celtic and Norwegian side Bergsoy.

Burgess was to become a regular in Bury’s First Team during the 2016 – 17 season and has made twenty starts for the League One side, scoring twice in the process.

In the summer of 2017 Scott signed on one year loan deal with Macclesfield Town in a move which bemused many Shakers fans who thought that he would continue to play an integral role in their First Team.
