Kieran Kennedy was born on 23rd September 1993 and started his career with Manchester City.
He was a regular in the Elite Development Squad at the Etihad Stadium, yet found it difficult to break in to the First Team (well there is quite a bit of competition there isn’t there!)
In 2013, he signed for City’s Premier League rivals Leicester City – initially on loan but that was made permanent in the summer of 2014.
Kennedy regularly featured for the Foxes Under 21 side, yet once again struggled to break in to the First Team at the King Power Stadium.
A former England Under 19 International, Kennedy finally experienced First Team football when Leicester loaded him out to Scottish Premier League side, Motherwell.
Here, Kennedy made 22 appearances but suffered with a long term hip injury before making the move to Conference North Champions-elect AFC Fylde towards the end of the 2016/17 season.
Kieran was released in the summer of 2017, at which point Sir John snapped him up and brought him to the Moss Rose.
